of Laviana, whose dike can be admired from different nooks, reason for which it has been, and is one of the lordly goals of mountaineering
asturiano.
The route which is proposed is not like the previous smooth routes of hiking, on this occasion we find ourselves with the ascent to the mythical summit
which rules the whole of the `Lavianés´ valley. It is a mountain ascent, which can be dangerous if it is not climbed with the necessary attention.
The parking area is quite simple, You take the AS - 252 road from Laviana to Llano La Tabla, en Tolivia.
You continue on the right the road to Fresneo. From here, along a path suitable for all types of vehicles, to Les Campes (890 m).
This place of soft meadowlands in the background the mass which can also be called the "Great Mountain". The chapel which stands there
is under the of the visit of the Virgin to her cousin The holy enjoys great devotion; The festival is celebrated on the first
Sunday in July. This chapel was built in the 17th century, and was restored in 1995, It consists in a single nave and bell tower which contains three
small bells.
The path towards the mythical summit begins at this chapel opposite the bar that exists in the area, El Descanso del Baquero, up to the first crossing
and we go to the right, we continue along the path leaving to our left the great Peña Mea wall, The path ascends amongst woods
to the Campa Pelúgano, here the path divides, the one which goes
straight ahead goes down to the village called Pelúgano, We will take the path on the left which
will take us to a cabin with two fountains and two water troughs, To our right we will leave behind some properties called el Cerreo, the path becomes narrow
and begins to ascend, finding the first "signs", with a well marked path we find ourselves at the bottom of the The cave channel, The
arrival at the bottom of this channel is one of those classical mountaineering moments in which one wonders why they do it. The channel
is wide and grassy, but seen from the bottom slope is impressive. This is where the most difficult stretch of path begins, of the whole route, the path winds
upwards and leads us to the famous "Ojo de Buey",
extensive window which goes beyond the rock crest, just after passing the crest, to our left we can see a huge cave, named after
the locals la Iglesiona, inside you can admire the four pillars which support it We continue to ascend along the winding path, which
leads us to the head of a vertical channel covered in woodland which offers a view of the valley of Tolivia.
